More About Us
Filippo and Leslie met in the summer of 2012 while at summer school of Laine Theatre Arts where they first established their strong connection over shared passion for the art.
In their spare time, already back then, they used to get together and learn from each other. That September Leslie started his training while Filippo being younger started the year after, their friendship and love of dance continued to grow.
For some time they thought about creating a tap show, but with busy work schedules and conflicting life circumstances they never got round to it.
Then the world stopped and their ideas finally started to take shape. As soon as they were able they got in the studio and worked on the project.
Now they can finally introduce “SwingMen”, a product that can entertain an audience of every age, from 3 minutes to half an hour or more, tailored to each individual request and made to suit most requirements.
It’s exciting, crisp and positive.
It’s engaging, we can welcome the audience to share the stage with us and learn a few basic steps if that’s something you might be interested in!
It’s classy, the elegance and selection of smooth tracks and rhythms guarantees that.
The purpose of “SwingMen” is to have fun while entertaining to this timeless art form through exceptional rhythm and by the beats of their taps. For them it’s also important to remember that tap dancing was born on the streets, and it’s always been a means of sharing between people of every age and colour.
Something Filippo and Leslie experienced first hand as they tapped together before being able to speak the same language.
